The Cylindrical Drip Irrigation Pipe Production Line offered by Comrise factory from China, is designed for continuous extrusion and in-line insertion of drippers into PE drip irrigation pipes. The line integrates extrusion, dripper feeding, vacuum sizing, cooling, punching, haul-off, inspection, metering, and winding to support continuous production of cylindrical in-line drip tubes.
Product Components
The production line consists of five main sections:
1. Extrusion Unit
The extrusion unit uses a single-screw extruder and hydraulic screen changer to melt, plasticize, and continuously extrude PE raw materials. Stable material feeding and temperature control help maintain consistent pipe dimensions and wall thickness during production.
2. Drip Head Sieve Pot
The dripper feeding system automatically sorts, aligns, and delivers cylindrical drippers to the pipe at the required spacing. A suitable feeding configuration can be selected according to the dripper size and geometry.
3. Vacuum Water Tank and Cooling Water Tank
The extruded tube passes through a vacuum sizing section to establish the required diameter and shape, followed by multi-stage water cooling to stabilize the pipe before downstream processing.
4. Drilling Machine and Traction Machine
The punching unit creates holes at the corresponding dripper positions, while the track-type haul-off maintains controlled and stable movement of the pipe through the production line. The punching position is coordinated with the dripper location to maintain consistent spacing.
5. Winding Machine
A duplex winding machine collects the finished drip tube into fixed-length coils. The two-station configuration supports continuous winding and simplifies coil changeover.
The complete line uses PLC centralized control and a touch-screen HMI. Production parameters such as extrusion speed, dripper spacing, and meter weight can be monitored during operation.
Machine composition and characteristics
1. PE Material Feeding and Extrusion
PE raw materials are fed into the extrusion system, heated and plasticized by the screw, and formed into the base pipe through the annular die.
2. Dripper Sorting and In-Line Insertion
Cylindrical drippers are sorted by a vibratory bowl feeder and aligned through a servo-controlled track before being inserted into the pipe at the specified spacing.
3. Vacuum Sizing and Cooling
The tube passes through the vacuum sizing sleeve to establish the required diameter and shape, followed by multi-stage water cooling for dimensional stability.
4. Haul-Off, Punching and Online Inspection
The track-type haul-off moves the tube at a controlled speed. The positioning system coordinates the punching position with the dripper location. Where online inspection is configured, wall thickness, dripper position, and sealing condition can be monitored during production.
5. Metering and Winding
An electronic meter records production length, while the duplex winding machine collects the finished drip tube into specified coil lengths.

FAQ
Q:How does the machine handle dripper feeding? Does it jam?
A:Drippers are fed via a high-frequency vibratory bowl sorter with a linear tracking rail. The bowl design is customized to your dripper geometry (length, barb shape, PC type). Anti-jam sensors detect backlog and auto-pause the bowl. Jam rate in normal operation: <1 incident per 8-hour shift. We also offer a rotary drum feeder upgrade for very high-speed lines (>200 m/min).
Q:Can we use recycled material (regrind) in production?
A: The line supports up to 30–50% recycled LDPE/LLDPE in single-layer extrusion, depending on your target pipe pressure rating
Q:What electrical brands and control system do you use?
A:Chneider / Siemens low-voltage components,internationally renowned brand
Q:Do you provide installation, training, and after-sales support?
A:Yes. We send 1 engineers to your factory for 7–14 days for installation, commissioning, and operator training.
