Manufacturing Process
The Steel Reinforced Spiral Winding Pipe Machine operates through five synchronized stages.
Material Preparation:
Steel strip (0.8-2.5 mm thick, galvanized/SS304) is preheated to 150°C.
High-density polyethylene/polypropylene (HDPE/PP) pellets are melted at 190-230°C through a twin-screw extruder (28:1 length-to-diameter ratio).
Cowinding:
A servo-driven mandrel spirally winds the steel strip while polymer is coextruded onto both sides of the strip.
Hot Melt Bonding:
Induction heaters thermally bond the polymer to the steel strip with a peel strength of ≥50 N/cm.
Interlayer Integration:
Additional polymer layers are added to the exterior/interior for environmental protection.
Calibration and Cooling:
The Steel Reinforced Spiral Winding Pipe Machine utilizes a progressive vacuum cooling tank to minimize residual stresses.
